HIKEHIKEHIKEHIKEHIKE.SWIMSWIMSWIM.SUNSUNSUN.FUNFUN.

Swimming around in the still tidepool caused ripples on the surface.
From this cave, I saw waves crashing onto the rocks.
This is a picture of a blowhole except, the mist was too fine to see. When waves enter the mouth of the cave, the water is funneled up the blowhole.
I was so stoked when we got to this tidepool because there were huge smooth pebbles on the floor. The water was blue blue blue and really cold. Plus, I could see physics in motion as the waves crashed onto the rocks that jutted out. The waves carried a lot of force because they pick up speed as they travel across the surface. The force is visible by the size of the wave as it hits the rocks.

ok, this is from the same hike! i love that place. a long time ago, less people knew about the tide pools and you could cruise there all by yourself (or with friends) all day long and chances were nobody else would ever come down. but that was then...
