well the other weekend my friends and i went to the ying yang concert for my friend's 18th birthday. their dj was so sick and he was sweating and going nuts and using his feet and everything! if i could i would have timed how many revolutions the record made in a second. the dj is the white guy behind the 102.7 da BOMB table. when he spun the record using his finger, he increased the angular speed since the record was going faster.a point on the outside grooves of the record had a greater linear speed than a point on an inner groove, but they both had the same angular speed. the dj switched between positive and negative angular velocities because he spun the record clockwise, then counterclockwise, then clockwise, etc to get that wonderful scratchy rappy noise that everyone gets hyphy to, ya know? well i just remembered this dj and concert after we learned about circular motions.
