This is kelly kim's stack of SAT books. It has a very stable arrangement because they are all relatively the same size so they stack easily. If they had been piled up biggest on the bottom and smallest on the top, they would have a stable CM because all the weight would be distributed on the bottom. If it had been vice versa, with big books balancing on small books, then it would probably topple because there is so much mass above the support surface. this picture is the definition of kelly kim's life.

uh, wait. there's the same amount of mass above the support regardless of the order of books.
but i think you mean a higher cm is more unstable, which is true
and that stack of books is mind-boggling. kelly doesn't look like she should have any life, after that stack
